THE BIM CHALLENGE
What the BIM Challenge is about
The idea of this competition came up one night during one of our summer schools. Students from all over Romania and from across the borders, architects and engineers, young and not so young, joined us for one week of specialized intensive training. However, the best thing we accomplished, without even setting out for it, was creating the best interdisciplinary team in the country.
One hundred and fifty people managed to find their common ground at the summer school, day and night, by sharing experience, helping each other and having fun together regardless of how different they were. 2. CHOOSE YOUR PROJECT
All you have to do is submit a project which meets the requirements of the category you have chosen. It's perfectly ok to choose an existing school project. The main and mandatory condition is that your project is modeled using the BIM software Allplan.
Each category has 2 sets of requirements: the general and the BIM criteria. You'll find them detailed in the full task. Double check your project and make sure the elements we ask for are there. If not, add them!
4. SUBMIT YOUR PROJECT
Send us your project as soon as it's finished. Don't forget to register first. Please pay attention to the format your project has to respect (layout, language). You can find all the details in RULES or in the full task of your category.
HOW ABOUT PHASE 2?
Winners of Phase 1 of the BIM Challenge will form teams and they'll work together on the same project. The teams can be:

architecture + structure + building facilities - you'll improve, detail and add to the architecture project from phase 1
-
urban planning + infrastructure - you'll improve, detail and add to the urban planning project from phase 1.
You're a junior but up for the challenge of working with a team on a complex project. No problem! You can register as a senior.
1. REGISTER
The BIM Challenge is a competition for students. You can register as a junior or as a senior in the following categories: urban planning, infrastructure (bridge or road design), architecture, structure or building facilities (HVAC).
